The Goodbyn Review

I just stumbled across this product about 3 weeks ago in an email giving advise on lunchboxes for kids. My son was entering 1st grade so I was already on the hunt for a lunchbox that would be easy for him to open and not have tons of different lids that might get lost. So when I saw this Goodbyn I felt like this is what I was looking for 1 container with only 1 lid.

It does seem rather large than other store bought lunch bins but it is enviromentally friendly & hold both a water bottle as well as a good ammount of food. It is made so that it can be tossed in the recycle bin when we are done using it which might be tons of years from now. I won't be using tons of plastic baggies which hurt the environment deeply.

We ordered green because that is my sons favorite color, but it comes in a variety of colors. It comes with stickers which my son decorated his box so nicely. It is dishwasher safe which makes clean up so nice for us moms. I really appreciate it also includes an allergy sticker too!

It did take a few practice runs to learn how to close and open it but I think we've got it down now. Here are some pictures of the lunches I have packed.....caution I did not start out all eco-friendly as you can see by a juice box & container of applesauce inside day 1. I had planned on taking pictures of a week of lunches but after day 2 I forgot.

Day 1:

snap pea crisps, grilled non cheese sandwich, grapes, juice box, apple sauce $ water

Day 2:

fruit, apple sauce, snap pea crisps, turkey & non cheese roll ups, crackers and water

Day 3:
same as day 2 minus the juice and apple sauce

Day 4:
pizza, pretzels, apples & water

I have to say my son is getting the hang of closing the Goodbyn and he is only 6 years old. I have to also mention freezing the water bottle 3/4 of the way really helps to keep the rest of the food semi-cool. We really like the goodbyn and give it a 2 thumbs up review!
